Dispensing Optician Manager

We are recruiting for experienced Dispensing Optician Manager.

In this role you will engage and manage a team of optical professionals and  strive to ensure every customer receives exceptional service.

The successful candidate will be expected to work to the highest professional standards and contribute to the continued success of our growing company.

Details

Apart from being an experienced and confident qualified Dispensing Optician, you should also be able to:

  • Undertake day-to-day management of the practice;
  • Implement systems and procedures to ensure the effective management of the team;
  • Oversee the creation of staffing rotas that ensure staffing levels reflect the needs of the business at all times;
  • Monitor sickness, punctuality and general performance of team members and take necessary action where standards are not being met;
  • Take the appropriate part in planning for and the recruitment and selection of new employees;
  • Undertake appraisals of team members;
  • Identify and implement measures for improving working relationships within the team;
  • Work collaboratively with team members and other management colleagues in order to meet the objectives of the business;
  • Lead team meetings in the practice and put forward / collect ideas and feedback in order to improve ways of working;
  • Attend and contribute to management meetings and be a proactive member of the management team.

Essential

  • Qualified Dispensing Optician
  • Management experience in retail and optical sector
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in a similar role
  • Commercially driven
  • Leadership skills

Dispensing Opticians

We are recruiting for two experienced and ambitious Dispensing Opticians. One vacancy is at our Norwich practice. For the second vacancy we are looking for a candidate who is willing to travel across the Cecil Amey practices.

In these roles you will work as part of a team of optical professionals that strive to ensure every customer receives exceptional service.

The successful candidate will be expected to work to the highest professional standards and contribute to the continued success of our growing company.

 

Details

As a highly established business, the company is committed to offer impeccable customer service, an individualised customer journey, longer testing times using the best and innovative products within the industry.

The principal aspects of the role are:

  • interpret optical prescriptions;
  • give advice to patients on lens type, frames and styling;
  • with further training, fit contact lenses and give advice on their care and use;
  • take frame and facial measurements to ensure correct fit and positioning;
  • advise patients when adjustments or repairs to spectacles are needed;
  • check lenses on delivery to ensure that they meet the required specifications;
  • work collaboratively with team members and management colleagues in order to meet the objectives of the business;
  • maximise sales whilst minimising costs to ensure the achievement of specified margins and targets.

  • Qualified Dispensing Optician
  • Relevant knowledge and experience in a similar role

We are recruiting for ambitious full and part time Optometrists to join our professional teams across Norfolk and Suffolk.

In this role you will work as part of a team of optical professionals that strive to ensure every customer receives exceptional service.

The successful candidate will be expected to work to the highest professional standards and contribute to the continued success of our growing company.

Details

  • As a highly established business, the company is committed to offer impeccable customer service, an individualised customer journey, longer testing times using the best and innovative products within the industry.
  • Working hours 8:45am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
  • Testing times 30-45 minutes.
  • Paperless patient management system and latest technology.
  • Most practices have 2 consulting rooms, a Practice Manager and a team of Dispensing Opticians and Optical Assistants.
